What is account verification on Humbled Females?
The online world is often not what it seems. Many people encounter what can only be called “fake” accounts, ran by individuals with less than authentic intent. Account verification allows other members to know you’re much more likely to be a real person and not a scammer or Internet phantom. It’s a win for you as much as it is for them. Why? Because people will be much more likely to trust you are who you say you are. That helps everyone connect quicker and more successfully. The more people verify, the safer the network will be. After you verify your account, you’ll earn the verified badge next to your name. This will let others know you mean business.
What is needed to verify an account?
Being verified requires a specific constellation of proofs:
1. A clear, full-color video of you holding up a piece of paper with your screen name on it. In the video, state your first (legal) name and generally describe your interest in becoming a verified member of Humbled Females.
2. An image of a government-issued ID. Block out all personally identifying information, if you wish. We will need to see three things on it, however: the image of your face on the ID, your first name, your age, and the country and state to which the ID belongs.
3. Make absolutely certain your profile information matches your age and location information on your ID.
4. A $100.00 fee, paid via Cashapp, Venmo, or PayPal.
5. While we are not strictly enforcing this, we would prefer you use a real photo of yourself in your avatar.
Where do I send this information?

We will instruct you, from there, on where and how to send the fee for processing.
What happens after that?
After everything is in good order and your fee has been paid, we will install a verified badge quickly on your account. This will show up in three areas: your profile, your forum posts, and in the general member directory. Future updates will include pushing verified members to the top of the directory.
What do you do with my information once verification is complete?
We generally store your basic details (your verification video and limited info on license) in a secure, encrypted file offsite. We do not store this data online and do not use it in any other way.
BILLING AND THIRD-PARTY INTERMEDIARIES USED DURING VERIFICATION
We may use a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies may retain, store or use personally identifiable information for security purposes. Any information collected by third party services is not covered by our privacy policies. Please refer to their own privacy and cookie policies regarding how they store and manage your information.
DATA INTEGRITY AND FRAUD PREVENTION
We make every effort to safeguard our system from malware, spyware, and hacking attempts. We actively scan our systems for signs of malware, spyware, and system breaches on a daily basis. Credit card information is NOT stored on our site, but instead processed and stored by an outside credit card processor or billing service.
REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE VERIFIED PROGRAM
In order to use our site as a VERIFIED MEMBER, you will be required to provide the data previously mentioned. This information will not be publicly posted in connection with your username. We do not provide any members of our community with any of your personally identifiable information. Only a “verified” badge will be shown next to your user name. Any further information you provide in your profile is up to you.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Reality check: By proceeding with interacting with the website and its verification process, you are agreeing to use it at your own risk. Neither Humbled Females (the Company) nor any other party involved in creating, producing or delivering the website shall ever be responsible to you or any third parties for any direct or indirect, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damage or loss incurred in connection with use of, or inability to use, the website or any of the materials provided by the Company or third parties through the website, or any damage or loss interruptions, deletions of files, errors, defects, delays in performance of the website, regardless of the claim as to the nature of the cause of action, even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damage or loss. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release the Company from responsibility, liability, claims, demands, or damages of every kind and nature, known and unknown (including, but not limited to, claims of negligence), arising out of, or related to, disputes between users and the acts or omissions of third parties. You expressly waive any rights you may have under California Civil Code § 1542 as well as any other statute or common law principles that would otherwise limit the coverage of this release to include only those claims which you may know or suspect to exist in your favor at the time of agreeing to this release. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Company be liable for any damages whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential, and/or incidental, arising out of, or relating to, the conduct of you or anyone else in connection with the use of the services, including without limitation, bodily injury, emotional distress, and/or any other damages resulting from communications or meetings with other members of the service. This includes any claims, losses or damages arising from the conduct of members who have registered under false pretenses or who attempt to defraud or harm you.
In short, your verified status does not give you special protections from users acting in bad faith. You should still proceed with caution when dealing with strangers on the Internet.
